Some Random Pictures...

My Companion, Sister Garn

I took a picture of this rose on one of our temple walks

Blurry "Selfie" of the sisters in my district.

Group picture with some of my MTC District members.

Lots of missionaries enjoying the warm weather on our "Temple Walk"

  1. Oh my dear, sweet Alyssa. I am so thrilled that you are having such a wonderful experience at the MTC. And I'm so very proud of you and the wonderful light of the Spirit of the Lord that shines through your eyes. All who meet you will be touched by the great spirit you carry with you.

You'll be pleased to know that Brad Simpson and his son, Jacob came over to our home tonight and Brad told me how very impressed he was with you and how much he came to love you and how strong he felt the spirit in you. He was extremely complimentary of you. Of course, I told him it was all because of
    me. 😇

Your Grandma & I are so very proud of you and know that you will be an exceptional missionary. You carry the missionary zeal and spirit of your great grandfather Virn Phillips who baptized hundreds! He populated what is now two wards in Cashmere and Leavenworth and then he and my mom went to my mission and baptized 26 people as a missionary couple! Unheard of. They went to my very same mission and met the people i had worked with and converted. When I was there, missionary couples would get credit for 1 or 1.5 baptisms their entire mission--and my Mom & Dad baptized more than the elders and sisters. Elders averaged six baptisms for their entire mission where I was at--so that gives you an idea of the high praise I am giving you--not that your success is measured in baptisms, but that I know you will touch many people and bring many to a knowledge of the gospel. It is up to them to accept or not--and many you teach may join the church long after you have gone because of the great impression and testimony you will impart to them.

I love you. I am proud of you.

    Grandpa Phillips
